CHEERS TO…“overheard at wimbledon”

“Overheard at Wimbledon” is Wimbledon meets Gogglebox, and I am obsessed.

Real spectators are mic’d up and filmed giving their unfiltered, hilarious, wholesome and/or cheeky commentary as they watch the tennis.

No actors, no scripts, just real talk.

It’s super smart and incredibly simple storytelling that taps into the drama of sport through the eyes (and mouths) of everyday people. The awkward silences, the rogue puns, the gasps, the lols.

From a content strategy POV? Genius. Human-first, low-cost, zero production fluff, endlessly shareable - and the perfect vehicle for subtle product placement and clever brand sponsorships without ever feeling like an ad.

I’m taking notes and pitching this format to someone, somewhere, immediately.

For the second week in a row…I can hear London calling 🇬🇧
