CHEERS TO…Glastonbury 2025
Glastonbury 2025 gave me the world's biggest FOMO. But not because of the music.
I've been impatient for the long-predicted return of Indie Sleaze for a while now. Think Kate Moss in the mini dress and Hunter gumboots, Sienna Miller's boho vibe, and Mary-Kate & Ashley's dishevelled luxury.
It’s my personal favourite of all early 00's fashion because it's about wearing clothes that tell your story, not just wearing what's trending. I personally think I peaked at Parklife in 2009.
Burberry saw it coming - their SS25 campaign was practically a premonition: Liam Gallagher in his reissued 2018 parka and early 00's indie icons Alexa Chung and Cara Delevingne smoking in the drizzle.
Glasto 2025 saw a cast of next-gen cool kids and nepo-babies stomping through grassy fields in unironic bucket hats - and whilst it might not have definitively heralded the return of Indie Sleaze, we're definitely one step closer.
I can hear London calling 🇬🇧
