CHEERS TO…THE KARDASHIANS

I’m calling it: we are entering a Kardashian renaissance.

With the season 7 of The Kardashians dropping, and with Kim's upcoming acting debut All's Fair on its way, we’re seeing a version of Kim we’ve rarely been allowed to witness - self-aware Kim. Kim who laughs at her own meme-able existence. Kim who knows the world is in on the joke.

The viral clips are telling the story for them:

“I’d like to know a little bit more about what like a milk carton costs”

“What do you think co-parenting with Kanye West is like?”

“Once, when we wondered what might happen next my stepdad turned into a woman and there were two more seasons right there!"

It feels like the family has finally caught up to the post-authentic era - where being meta about your own fame is the only way to survive it.

The funniest moments are the ones where they break their own fourth wall: poking fun at the Kardashain brand, acknowledging the spectacle and embracing the absurdity.

Even Kylie seems to be inching back toward her iconic King Kylie roots.

And you can bet your bottom dollar I have episodes 1 and 2 of the new season bookmarked and ready for consumption (excessive, obviously).

So, cheers to the Queens of cultural reinvention. Love them, hate them, or pretend not to care - they’re still breaking the internet. And this time they’re laughing with us.

As the old saying goes: the devil works hard, but Kris Jenner works harder.
