CHEERS TO…Ronald McDonald House

I’m raising a glass to Ronald McDonald House Central West - one of the quiet powerhouses of impact in our region.

They’re there for families on the worst days of their lives, 365 days a year and provide a home away from home for families in need.

Last year alone they supported 1,888 families, provided 14,313 nights of accommodation, contributed over 117,000 volunteer hours, and delivered more than $2.1 million in accommodation savings…because when your child is in hospital, finding somewhere to stay shouldn't be hard.

And yet, we still hear stories of parents sleeping in their cars because they don't know RMHC Central West exists, can't afford a hotel, or because they feel like other families “deserve” a bed more.

You can find out more about the incredible work of RMHC Central West here - please consider contributing to their incredible work either through donation or volunteering.

Every dollar raised equals $3.60 of social impact. That is community energy in motion.

So, cheers to the people who make sure families don’t have to face the hardest nights alone 🥂
